Terms of Service

The agreement between you and Protegee for use of the service that creates and publishes content to your connected social accounts.

Effective date: October 5, 2026 ยท Last updated: November 3, 2026

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Two Fingers LLC, which operates Protegee ("Protegee," "we," "us," or "our") and govern your access to and use of the Protegee website at protegee.studio and our related products and services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, connecting an account, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

Protegee is an AI service that learns your brand and then creates social media content (including images, video, and captions) and publishes it to the social accounts you connect, on a schedule you control. Features may change, be added, or be removed, and the Service may be unavailable from time to time. We may set limits on use, such as the volume of content generated or published.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of a business or other organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms on its behalf, and "you" refers to that organization.

4. Your account

You are responsible for the information you provide, for keeping your login credentials secure, and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it current. Notify us promptly at contact@protegee.studio if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

5. Connecting third-party accounts

The Service works by connecting to your accounts on third-party platforms, which currently include TikTok, Instagram and Facebook (Meta), X, and YouTube (Google). When you connect an account, you authorize Protegee to access that account and to take the actions you enable, including creating drafts and publishing content on your behalf, within the permissions you grant.

  • You represent that you own or are authorized to manage each account you connect and to grant us these permissions.
  • You agree to comply with the terms, policies, and community guidelines of each connected platform, including the TikTok Community Guidelines, and you acknowledge that those platforms may suspend, limit, or remove content or accounts under their own rules.
  • You may disconnect any account at any time, within Protegee or from the platform's own settings. Disconnecting may stop related features from working.

6. Your content and licenses

"Your Content" means the brand information, prompts, product data, images, video, and other materials you provide to the Service or authorize us to import. As between you and us, you retain all rights you have in Your Content.

You grant Protegee a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, modify, adapt, process, and transmit Your Content, and to generate and publish derived content, solely to operate and provide the Service for you, including sending it to the AI providers and platforms needed to create and publish your content. This license ends when you delete the relevant content or close your account, except for content already published to a connected platform and for reasonable backup retention.

You represent and warrant that you have all rights, consents, and permissions necessary for Your Content and for us to use it as described, and that Your Content and its publication do not infringe or violate the rights of any third party or any law.

7. AI-generated content

The Service uses artificial-intelligence models, some operated by third parties, to generate content. AI-generated output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable, and similar output may be generated for other users. You are responsible for reviewing content before it is published and for ensuring it is accurate, lawful, non-infringing, and appropriate for each platform. Rights in generated output are subject to the terms of the applicable AI providers; we make no representation that output is protectable or free of third-party claims. You are solely responsible for content published to your connected accounts.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to create, schedule, or publish content that:

  • Is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, deceptive, fraudulent, or invasive of privacy;
  • Violates the terms, policies, or community guidelines of any connected platform;
  • Is spam, or that artificially inflates engagement or impersonates others;
  • Contains malware, or that attempts to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or any system; or
  • Infringes any intellectual-property, publicity, or other right of a third party.

You also agree not to reverse engineer, resell, or misuse the Service, or to use it to build a competing product. We may suspend or terminate access for conduct that violates these Terms or that we reasonably believe is harmful.

9. Plans, trials, and fees

Protegee is offered on paid monthly plans, listed on our pricing page. Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial. We collect your payment details when the trial starts but do not charge you until it ends, and if you cancel before day 7 you pay nothing. After the trial, your plan renews each month until you cancel, which you can do anytime from Billing in your account. If we change prices, we will tell you before the new price applies to you.

10. Our intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, text, and the Protegee name and logo, is owned by Protegee and protected by intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for its intended purpose. We reserve all rights not expressly granted. If you send us feedback or suggestions, you grant us the right to use them without restriction or obligation to you.

11. Third-party services

The Service integrates with third-party platforms and AI providers. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content, practices, availability, or actions, including any decision by a platform to limit, suspend, or remove your account or content. We may change, add, or remove integrations at any time.

12. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, that content will be published successfully or on time, or that generated content will meet your requirements. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so some of these may not apply to you.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Protegee and its officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business, arising out of or related to your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility. Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amounts you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or US $100. These limits apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Protegee and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to Your Content, your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party, including the terms or policies of any connected platform.

15. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms, if we are required to by law, or if we discontinue the Service. On termination, your right to use the Service ends, and we will handle your data as described in our Privacy Policy. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will survive.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that the state and federal courts located in New Jersey will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, and you consent to their jurisdiction and venue. Before filing a claim, you agree to first contact us at contact@protegee.studio so we can try to resolve the matter informally.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the Service or by email. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Service.
