The problem
snouts is a premium, minimal dog-apparel brand built around a breed-specific snout mark. A small direct-to-consumer brand like this lives or dies on showing up every day on social, and on Instagram, TikTok and Facebook that means short-form video.
Daily video is a production job: an idea, a shoot or render, an edit, captions, and a post on each network. Done by hand, that is a content team. snouts did not have one, and did not have a video budget or an agency either.
What Protegee runs for snouts
Every day, ideas for the brand become branded 9:16 clips. Each clip lands on a review board, and approved clips publish on a set cadence to Instagram, TikTok and Facebook, three times a day.
The brand’s real logo goes on every clip. It is placed from the brand’s own files and never generated, so the mark stays exact on every post.
The results
snouts posts three times a day across three networks and reaches roughly 150,000 to 200,000 views a month. The founder gets about 20 hours a week back, and the brand saves an estimated $72,000 a year.
No editor sits in the loop. The work that is left is taste: choosing which ideas go out.
Where Protegee came from
snouts was the first brand Protegee ever ran. The engine was built to keep snouts posting, it worked, and it was opened to other brands. Every brand on Protegee runs on the system that was proven here first.
